I’m Melissa, and I LOVE birds. I’m trying to help people do better for birds by inspiring them to build habitat in their yards. In 2019 I had a crazy idea. What if I could make the birds come to me? No one was more surprised than me that it worked! Since then, I’ve attracted over 100 species of birds to my urban yard by providing water, planting native plants, and trying to think like a bird every day.

Habitat loss is one of the biggest reasons our birds are on the decline. Every person with a yard can help!
